Our annual Race Night was held on 28th April 2018 at Newton Mearns Bowling Club.
With Brethren acting as “bookies” the evening was a great success. We had over 70 attendees and 8 main races were sponsored by individual Brethren. There were some very entertaining and unusual names provided for each horse, and prizes were on offer for each winning owner.
There were a large number of raffle prizes with numerous lucky winners.
The final auction race provided some exciting (and possibly careless) bidding, with the winning team/owner collecting a £160 jackpot.
A buffet was provided and there was time for some serious dancing to bring the evening to a close.
